Update on Tropical Storm Chris

Tropical Storm Chris, on the verge of becoming the season’s first hurricane Wednesday, took a shot of dry air into his heart Thursday and began what could be a death spiral.

The storm that earlier this week had South Florida in its cross hairs and prompted meetings of state emergency managers lost strength quickly and was forecast to become merely a tropical depression late Thursday or today.

That’s as long as all goes well. To be safe, they are saying that there’s a possibility of this one strengthening, but I have my fingers crossed that all will stay calm until the hurricane season in completely over.
