The Fudge Factory…

The Fudge Factory…

Now here is one souvenir that I can say… go for. While most of us are careful of what we eat most of the year, while on holiday, we tend to “fall off the wagon” so to speak. And just one look at that plate of fudge will help you see why! And for all of those family members that you left at home… this would make a great little gift item! That is… if it makes it home!
“Established in 1982, The Fudge Factory is now a second-generation family-owned candy business, specializing in homemade confections. Starting out …read more

Bringing Your Vacation Home With You!

Bringing Your Vacation Home With You!

Traveling, in my opinion, is all about making memories that you can enjoy long after you get home. That’s where souvenirs come into play. Grab a net, bucket, or bag, and do “The Sanibel Stoop” near our Sanibel beach resort – where gathering beautiful, pastel-colored shells is a favorite activity. Since our remarkable barrier island lies east to west, an abundant amount of shells can be found on our pristine beaches. Walk a zigzag pattern before low tide, and hunt for the most rare and sought-after shells — including sea urchins, calico scallops, spotted leopard crab carapace, and lightning whelks. Discover a new pastime collecting these gifts …read more

Saving Money at Walt Disney World

Saving Money at Walt Disney World

There are about a zillion ways to save money at Disney World in Florida. I know because we have put a lot of them into use. But here is my top five ways…
1. Don’t snack while in the park. Meals are surprisingly affordable at the park and as of last summer, they are being created with nutritional value as well.
2. Rent a house in Florida for the time you will be there. I don’t even want to think about the cost of a hotel per day and then all the meals that would have to be paid for. And …read more
