Some days I feel so lucky. Sitting in the sun, having lunch on the beach, feeling like you’re on vacation, sipping Sangria — all in a day’s work. That’s what I did yesterday in the midst of my busy day.

In a city that goes against the norm – their failure to latch onto chains (Houston’s had to be renamed Palm Beach Grill and it took years for the city to agree to put in a Starbucks on Worth Avenue) and the non-existence of sales in the multitude of designer shops that line the city, Palm Beach has decided to launch the first ever Palm Beach Restaurant Week taking place from October 20 – 26. 1. Incredible atmosphere… doesn’t get any more relaxed than what you will find at this restaurant.
2. The view is great. While waiting for your table you can relax on the beach.
3. Check out their twice baked potato.
4. If you don’t like waiting, either go early in the day or later in the evening.
5. The seafood nachos are AMAZING according to my family.
6. The Keylime Pie… ‘nough said.
7. If you love the beach, you are going to want to check out Destin’s white sand.

It’s hard to get a bad meal in New Orleans. Here even the neighborhood restaurants are as good as the world class restaurants for which the French Quarter is famous. They’re just different. One of the neighborhoods that’s easy to get to by cab or streetcar is Uptown. So, if you’re ready to try some restaurants outside of the French Quarter, consider one of the restaurants Uptown.

I don’t know about you, but it used to give me the creeps to sit Jamie or Brittany in restaurant highchairs when we ate out. Who knows who sat in there last?? Did they have a cold? Were they coming down with the flu?
No, this is a much better idea. Just take this along with you each time and you don’t have to worry! And when you get home, just toss it in the laundry so that it is fresh and clean for the next time.
