Another fun day in sunny Florida. But really, are there any other kind??
*Went for a nearly morning swim. Can’t believe just how warm the water can be!! You can simply walk right in. Must look at the temperature to see just how warm the water is!!

One of the best things about the south is their beaches and hopefully with a little work, I can tone up before I step onto one of them. Did I ever tell you that my daughter does sit-ups every night and she has a flat stomach! If it can work for her, it can work for me.

Just look at some of the shells you can find down in the south. To date I have found the Calico Scallop, which is quite common, but the others, I’m going to have to hunt for! And no, worms did not live in the shells… They were given the name because of their shape. But you could creep a lot of people out lol…

“Unlike beaches elsewhere that are made up mostly of coral, Siesta Beach’s sand is 99% quartz. Even on the hottest days, the sand is so reflective that it feels cool underfoot. It’s estimated that the sand on Siesta Beach is millions of years old.
We spent the afternoon at this particular beach in January of this year, and it wasn’t anywhere near this crowded, but they are definitely right about the sand. I have never seen beach sand like it… anywhere. It is so white it doesn’t look real!

Hopefully, you are going to find some time to simply lounge around a pool while you are on vacation in the Southern Byways and this outfit definitely works for me. You know that the minute that you relax, someone will come to the door… or the pool guy shows up.
The outfit would also work quite nicely for those afternoons when you are strolling along the beach without a care in the world. Ahhh, it won’t be long now. I can almost smell the scent of the ocean!
