Apparently if you are in the south, you have to drink this tea. But there are a few tricks that you should know and one of them is the use of baking soda. That’s right… baking soda. Apparently it takes away the bitterness and darkens the color of the tea. So head off to Gritts and copy down this recipe. It’s not quite the same as being in the south, but if you close you eyes and take a sip, it’s almost like being there!
