Saving Money: You Want Some Travel Deals? Well, You Came to the Right Place
Happy summer! Don’t let the gas prices get you down - take advantage of the deals you can find at different destinations across the South.
- The Chattanoogan is offering the “We’ll Get You Home Package” that includes deluxe overnight, a $25 gas card and valet parking as well as other amenities. The package is offered through September 30, 2008.
- The Tremont House and and the Harbor House in Galveston, Texas, are offering a Strand Seaport weekday discount getaway package that includes admission to the Texas Seaport Museum, the Seagull II and the Pier 21 Theater. All three are within walking distance from both hotels.
- International House, a premier boutique hotel in New Orleans, La., is turning up the heat this summer by lowering their prices. Thinking about an overnight stay in June? Guestroom rates are $99; in July, $89; and in August, the rate drops to $79. Rooms are based on availability and there are blackout dates.

If you’ve ever been to NOLA in August, you’ll know why the International House is offering such great rates. The heat and humidity are oppressive.
