Saving Money: Beaches Sales, Gas Cards and More - Oh My!
This summer, the in color is green, as in money. When it comes to traveling, everyone knows it’s all about spending less and getting more for the money that you do spend. As summer approaches, so do the deals and specials. As you begin to make summer plans, take a look at these deals.
- Panama City Beach, Fla., is having their Summer White Sale. This includes more than 50 beach accommodations, restaurants and attractions that have teamed up to offer 75 different discount offers with a total value of more than $6,000, and more businesses will be added throughout summer. All offers are valid now — August 31. What type of savings can you get? Well, gasoline credits are available at 19 properties and other offers include restaurants and attractions specials.
- Gainesville, Fla’s., bed and breakfasts: The Camellia Rose, Laurel Oak Inn, Magnolia Plantation and the Sweetwater Branch Inn are offering a $10 gas card per day for three-day minimum stays this summer.
- Naples, Marco Island and the Everglades area, collectively know as Florida’s Paradise Coast, is offering the Paradise Coast VIP card . The card, good through October 15, offers travelers over $3,000 dollars in savings at 77 participating hotels, restaurants, attractions, and activities. The free cards are available at the Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce, the Downtown Naples Association Visitors Center, Marco Island Chamber of Commerce, and the Everglades Area Chamber of Commerce.
