Newbie Guide to Florida Summers

These past few hot weeks have been a mere taste of what lies ahead when summer officially begins Wednesday.
History, of course, will repeat itself. We can learn from it. Residents who have spent numerous summers in Florida know what to do. They build cabins in North Carolina mountains and spend summers fishing for rainbow trout in cool creek waters.
But our area is growing rapidly with newbies to our endless summer days. They need the benefit of veteran wisdom. We must tell them the truth.”
I read this with a bit of nostalgia - well at least most of it. Those afternoon rainstorms… I have never seen anything like them, especially when they are hitting the roof of your favorite bookstore. Books-A-Million, I’m looking forward to a return visit.
