More on the Artic Seal
The last few days, I have been covering the story of the Artic Seal who somehow managed to swim to a Florida river. He was rescued Monday night and transferred to SeaWorld in Orlando. Unfortunately, we have just learned, that he died earlier today.
“Bearded seals often travel alone and over long distances, Mase-Guthrie said. They are also used to salt water, not a mix of salt and fresh water.
The seal was first spotted Thursday and was said to appear sickly. It was seen swimming south and officials had hoped to capture it Saturday, but it eluded rescue teams.”
