Let’s Celebrate: National Tourism Week with the State of Louisiana Icons

What comes to your mind when you hear someone mention the state of Louisiana? For many, it’s typically Mardi Gras, New Orleans and the Cajun Culture.  While those definitely are some of the main features of the state, this is so much more.

The food  here in is something else. muffuletta You really haven’t eaten in life until you tried a po’boy, muffuletta, gumbo, crawfish, etouffee, boudin and jambalaya - just to name a few dishes. You can’t forget dessert either - try some beignets or pralines, followed with cup of cafe au lait beignets or Cafe Brulot. To really experience the flavors of Louisiana, follow the culinary trail.

 

 

 

Listen to the Music: Discover new music in Louisiana.The state  is also a melting,- or maybe the correct term is,- a gumbo pot of music as well. Aside neworleansjazzfrom jazz, you’ll find Cajun music , swamp pop and Zydeco being played throughout the state. Find the best places to enjoy the music by following the state’s music trail.
