Keep the Food Festivals Coming
And there’s more food festivals happening in the south:
- Great Peanut Tour: Taking place September 11-14 in Skippers, Virginia, the Great Peanut Tour will consist of bike rides ranging from 13-100 miles. There are specialty tours that examine peanut growing, harvesting and sampling.
- Mid-South Fair takes place September 19th - 28th in Memphis, TN. There will be free nightly world class entertainment, talent shows, exhibits, rides, games and fair food.
- The State Fair of Texas takes place from September 26th - October 19th in Dallas. Big Tex combines musical events, livestock, parades, food tastings and more. Tickets are $14 a ticket, $10 for kids under 48″.
