It’s Happening in the South…National Moofest
Whether you enjoy a bowl of ice cream or a tall glass of milk, the National Moofest the festival for you. On May 31, Athens, Tennessee will celebrate the dairy industry with various events, including an ice cream eating contest and a milk chug-a-lug. There will also be a carnival that will run May 27-31.
For those who don’t know, Athens is home to Mayfield Dairy (there is a visitors center also in Brasleton, Ga.) Tours of the Athens’ plant will also be conducted on the day of the festival.

How is it no one ever took me to this as a kid??? (I grew up in Chattanooga, where all the milk was Mayfield.)

It’s new. They want it to become an annual event. I don’t think that will be a problem.
