I’m Home From Florida

by SP on June 24th, 2007

Just got back  and I miss it already. We had to say good-bye to our pool and that was really hard. We took our last swim last night and I know that this is going to be really hard to believe but we all looked and the temperature of the water was 101 degrees. I knew that it was usually nice and warm at this time of year, but it was literally like stepping into the bath! Just a bit too hot to be refreshing, but it sure beats a cold pool where ever step leaves you wondering just how much you want to go swimming!!

Got tons to share over the coming weeks. We were on dial-up and it was painful to post each day. But there’s nothing to stop me over the coming days. Actually, you will probably wish that I would just shut up!! ;) I really did see some amazing things down here… and then some.

So, consider yourself warned.

1 opinion for I’m Home From Florida

It’s funny because I’m annoyed with Florida and my wife and I are planning to move to northern Europe next year but I know I will miss the weather. We have a pool in our apartment complex and I swear we barely ever use it! But I know I’ll miss it when it’s gone!! I’ll especially miss the tennis courts because I do actually use those. I lived in Melbourne, Australia for a year and winters there aren’t so harsh but I got there in winter and was like crap, I am not used to this! And then a few months later we took a vacation to Queensland which is Australia’s Florida, but since everything is backwards it’s north. It’s even called “The Sunshine State!” We got there and it was hot, humid and filled with palm trees and I was like ah, just like home! There were plenty of weird people too but they were friendlier down under, I guess it’s on par with everything being backwards there. Anyways, seeing as how I am a Floridian and fellow b5 writer I had to drop ya a few comments about bizzaro Florida and the bizarro down under Florida.
