Dream Sacks - January 12

by SP on January 12th, 2007

Oh, I don’t think that I will ever ask for a blanket or a pillow again. According to the Travel Gear Blog, airlines only launder these things once every two weeks if they aren’t noticeabley dirty. Could that really be true?? I expected it to be a fresh blanket and pillow for each flight??

Yuck… that means that a lot of people could have used that item before it was given to me. Kind of gives me the creeps.

But he did suggest the Dream Sack and it sounds like it is worth every penny of the $59.00.

For $59, it’s a solid investment - for the eye mask alone! Made of soft silk with an extra ‘barrier’ against the light, it’s one of the most comfortable I’ve tried. The pillowcase is made of the same material. Don’t expect to use it at home, however - it’s airline-sized.

The blanket, with a large ‘pocket’ for your feet, is made of a heavier silk and is surprisingly warm. Unlike other stuff sacks, the one accompanying the Airline Comfort Set is actually large enough to fit the rolled up blanket, pillow case and eye shades!

Now if I could sleep as soundly as that guy in the photo, I think I just might like flying more.

Actually once every two weeks would be good. Unless they have noticeable stains (and hey, they are dark, so you know how bad that has to be), it much leff often than that.
