Don’t Take My Word for It! The Top 20 Events Selected by the Southeastern Tourism Society
Even with the best intentions, I will probably forget to list an upcoming holiday event or two. I am not doing it on purpose - there is just so much out there and only so much space I have. With this in mind,I thought I would direct my dear readers to the Southeastern Tourism Society’s Top 20 Events for the Fall. Included in this list is some holiday events that shouldn’t be missed.
If you happen to be around in the area during December, this list is a must-view if you are looking for something to do.

I’ve been to Gatlinburg’s festival of lights. It’s a great show for the price and the kids love it. What’s great about Gatlinburg is that everything there is really for the kid in us that isn’t quite ready to grow up.
When I was there, I had the deep-fried taco - now that is something you have to try at least once in your life. Actually, it’s kind of like sticking your tongue to a pole in the middle of winter. Something tells you it’s not going to be pretty, but have to try it!
We take ourselves far too seriously - Gatlinburg’s festival of lights shows you how to lighten up ….err. so to speak :-)
