Day 2 in Florida - What I did yesterday

It was a good day ;)

*Had breakfast by the pool. Everyone else still sound asleep. Birds chirping like crazy!

*Went swimming. At 7 a.m., the water was incredibly warm. Definitely not having to get used to the water!!

* Hit the mall and lucked out with everything on my list. I bought two new shades of blush by Physicians Formula, Smart Shade foundation by Almay. (Have been wanting to try this stuff for a while now. I will let you know if it works!) Picked up eye-makeup remover and spray on sunblock. Can believe how fast my makeup melts down here. Just slides right off my eyes to that area below the lashes.

* Also went to Sonny’s real Barbecue Pit for dinner. The menu makes it really hard to choose. Looks as if we will have to go back again. Here’s what we had…

Britt and I both had Pork 3 Ways, G had Pulled Pork. Britt and I brought enough home for lunch today. Each meal also comes with “sides”. G had a sweet potato with cinnamon butter (?? never tried that) Britt and I had corn on the cob which was unfortunately over-cooked and I wasn’t all that impressed with the ribs either. Maybe they were having a bad day. But their sliced and pulled pork was awesome. Their sauces are what the restaurant is famous for and I can understand why. You get to choose from Sweet, Sizzling Sweet, Smokin’, Mild and Mustard. My favorite was the “Sizzlin’ Sweet”, while G preferred the “Smokin’ ” Forgot to ask Britt which was her favorite. But she did love the Pulled Pork and I think that she will be claiming all of mine for lunch today!!

Back tomorrow with Day 3 and it is already turning out to be an interesting day. You won’t believe what wandered across our lawn this morning!!
