Colonial Lake, Charleston

by SP on October 29th, 2006

Colonial Lake in Charleston is the perfect spot to enjoy a bit of nature. There is a sidewalk that winds around the man made lake with plenty of benches to provide a place to enjoy the scenery. Or a jog around the lake might be perfect for a summer afternoon…

1 opinion for Colonial Lake, Charleston

We have a fun family story about Colonial Lake.
Both my parents grew up in Charleston and dated in the 1940’s when roller skating was really big. When Harry and Thelma were skating “the Whip” she was on the end and she let go of his hand and flew off (really fast) and hurt herself. Harry got his skates and threw them in the middle of Colonial Lake, saying he would never hurt her again. :)
