Day 2 in Florida - What I did yesterday

It was a good day ;)
*Had breakfast by the pool. Everyone else still sound asleep. Birds chirping like crazy!
*Went swimming. At 7 a.m., the water was incredibly warm. Definitely not having to get used to the water!!
* Hit the mall and lucked out with everything on my list. I bought two new shades of blush […]

Summer Handbags To Go

Brianna Bucket Bag
Have you ever noticed that when you go on vacation, the bag that was big enough at home, suddenly isn’t big enough to carry all the bits and pieces ( souvenirs) you tend to pick up while “on the road”. That’s why I chose this one for today. It’s big and roomy. […]

What I Need to Buy for My Next Trip

As far as I’m concerned, you simply can’t have too many bathing suits. And today, this one caught my eye!

Actually, it was my son’s girlfriend who changed my way of thinking. On a recent trip to Cuba, I don’t think she wore the same bathing suit twice!!

Stealing from Wal-Mart in Attalla, Alabama

This is what Attalla City Judge Kenneth Robertson Jr. in Alabama decided was fitting…  either wear the sandwich board on two Saturdays or face the consequences… which just happened to be jail time.  Most of the customers leaving Wal-Mart thought that the punishment was a good one and that it would definitely make them think […]

Some really good news for parents in Florida. In August, there will a ten day break from taxes . It’s not a done deal quite yet, but if the governor signs off on it, parents will be charged no sales tax on on books, clothes, shoes, wallets, and bags costing $50 or less, […]

So, what are some of the items that you have picked […]

Lush Solid Shampoo

I know that this might seem like an odd thing to find in a travel blog, but believe it or not, a solid shampoo is a lot easier to take along with you than the liquid variety. And you know Lush… their products are first class. Not only does it clean all that […]

Rosamor by Oscar de la Renta

Every time I go on holiday I seem to haunt fragrance counters and this is a fragrance that I picked up the last time I was in Tampa Bay, Florida. It seems that I like to pair up a fragrance with a holiday and my collection of fragrances has grown a lot of the […]

Britt’s Tour of the South - Day 4: Alligators, Cookies, and T-Shirts

Today is a day for buying those vacation t-shirts you scratch your head about when you get home. Fisherman’s Village is a great little spot overlooking the ocean where you can buy all the aligator figurines your heart desires. While wondering around don’t miss The Serious Cookie Company, if you can walk out of that […]
