“It’s a perfect backdrop for a haunted place,” comments Kara Van Brunt, the director of operations and strategic development for Ruby Falls in Chattanooga, Tenn. “You can’t get any better than a cave.”
The beginning of fall brings many things: cooler weather, change of color in leaves, pumpkins, apples, hayrides and ghost stories.

Opening on September 26 is Ruby Falls’ Haunted Cavern. The attraction was brought back after years of being on hiatus. Van Brunt says they would get phone calls every year requesting it.

Looking at the quaint and genteel Franklin of today, it’s hard to imagine some of the town’s sordid history.
But lynchings, public whippings and hangings, street corner shootings and assorted “activities of the night” are all part of the city’s past. Many buildings served as hospitals following the Battle of Franklin, and some of them reportedly have strange visitors from time to time . . .

1. Cherokee Falls Bridge in Blacksburg… a man was hung there thanks to his wife. Apparently you can hear his cries while others have seen him with burn marks on his throat.2. Brattonsville Battlefield… you can feel and hear people here. I wonder what it feels like to “feel” a ghost hovering close by??

For a city as old as St. Augustine, there is bound to be a lot of ghosts lurking, but the school house didn’t seem to be one of them for some reason, until someone shot this photo. Take a look at the insert… it is our imagination or could something be looking out the window?? For a structure as old as this one, I guess anything is possible!
