What Travel Personality Are You?

What Travel Personality Are You?

Here’s a fun quiz that was sent to me recently. It can be found on Best Trip Choices – a unique travel site that helps leisure travelers plan their perfect getaway. They claim it matches your personality to the trip you’ll enjoy the most according to “decades of scientific research.” I don’t know about the scientific research, but it takes less than 5 minutes so its perfect to fit in on a commercial break.
In addition to the quiz, this website also ranks worldwide destinations according to thousands of travelers’ rankings. Here’s a list of the top 10 US States:

Hawaii
Alaska
Florida
Nevada
Maine

Getting a Good Night’s Sleep on Vacation

Getting a Good Night’s Sleep on Vacation

I don’t know if you do this or not, but every time I travel, I take my pillow with me. I used to carry a buckwheat pillow with me and it was really heavy, but this pillow is a breeze. It’s not heavy at all, thanks to the fact that you can empty out the water making it’s a lot easier to pack. And even better, you can fill it to the point where you are comfortable. No more sleeping on hotel pillows that give you a neck ache the next morning. Now where’s the fun in that??

For Extra Legroom, Check the Layout For Coach Seats

“At 6 feet 6 inches tall, Council of Foundations magazine editor Allan R. Clyde often has to rely on fellow passengers willing to swap their exit-row or bulkhead seats to ensure a more comfortable flight.Ellen Hollender is barely 5-foot-2, but she, too, has problems with seat space. Because her feet don’t touch the floor, she has to place her briefcase or stack pillows under her feet to avoid back problems, which makes it hard for her to sit in an aisle seat. “It makes it difficult for anyone to get by me,” she said. “There just isn’t enough room.”

Travel “Gadgets” that I Just Love!!

Travel “Gadgets” that I Just Love!!

Tuck this luxurious DreamSack into your suitcase. It’s like bringing along your own breathable, 100% silk sheets. Blue or Olive.
And you can wash them at home and use your favorite fabric soften to scent them. Yes, that is one thing I hate about hotels. Nothing smells familar and how the room smells is really big on my list of demands.

Wenger Swiss Army Soho Utility Sport and Outdour Backpack

On our last holiday, I noticed a lot of people using something like in this instead of regular luggage. Certainly would make things easier. Who likes waiting for their bags to fall onto the belt and most of the time they are bashed up as well. It would be nice to simply store it in one of those overhead bins and be done with it. And the price is definitely right.

Travelling with the Rubiks Cube

Travelling with the Rubiks Cube

This was originally going to be a joke, but the more I thought about it, the more I thought that it would be a brilliant way to keep the kids occupied in the back seat, until you get to the sunny south.
Okay, I just know that someone in my family is going to go straight out and get one for me. I’m the only one who hates the drive and wants to stop every five minutes to see something!
