Breaking News - Ernesto up to 60 mph, heading to Carolinas

by SP on August 31st, 2006

“A hurricane watch was issued for the Carolina coast Thursday and Virginia’s governor declared a state of emergency as Tropical Storm Ernesto gained strength over the Atlantic.

Meanwhile our area (Port Charlotte, Florida) will feel more leftover effects from rain today than it did Wednesday. Rainfall greeted Southwest Floridians Thursday morning and it will likely stay around for most of the day. The sun is supposed be shining this afternoon, but the likelihood of rainfall, and sometimes heavy rainfall, is likely. ”

Fingers crossed for the Carolinas!
