Born on a Mountain Top in Tennessee
Apparently the song got it wrong. He was not born on a mountaintop, but on the banks of Limestone Creek near Greenville. A replica of his log cabin still stands there todoay. If you are a big fan, it might be fun to check out. It is about three and a half miles off 11-E Highway near Limestone, Tennessee.
