Arts Alive…6th Annual Perspectives 2008: Georgia Pottery Invitational
What just may be the largest pottery event in Georgia kicks off on August 30 in Watkinsville, Ga.
The 6th Annual Perspectives 2008: Georgia Pottery Invitational, held at Oconee County Arts Foundation (OCAF), is three-week long event featuring the works of 50 potters selected from the state. Around 150 pieces will be on display, as well as works by seven professional Georgia potters. In addition, over 4,000 pots will be on display and for sale.
And that’s not all. On September 7, four studios in the surrounding area will open their doors to the public for a behind-the-scenes look on how they create their pieces.
If you love pottery, or even have a passing interest in it, this is an event for you.
