All Aboard! Celebrate National Train Day on May 10
As a part of raising awareness of trains trips and to celebrate the anniversary of the completion of the Transcontinental Railroad in Utah (May 10, 1869), Amtrak has designated May 10 as National Train Day.
While the main celebration is happening in the Chicago, Los Angeles, Washington D.C., and New York City stations, other train station across the country are celebrating as well. Many are hosting events that include exhibits, entertainment, Amtrak ticket giveaways, games, and prizes.
