Looking to Spice Up Your Weekend?
You are in luck, as this weekend Chile Pepper Magazine hosts ZestFest 2008 in Fort Worth, Texas. This annual event brings the best spices, salsa, hot sauces and fiery foods together in a venue – Amon G Carter Exhibit Hall at the Will Rogers Center. As part of the festivities, you will be able to sample the best in spicy foods from 80 different vendors, see first hand some of the area’s top chefs hard at work – Jon Bonnell, Grady Spears and Louis Lambert will all be hard at work. In addition to these festivities, El Fenix Restaurants will host a student salsa challenge. Students from Tarrant County College and the Culinary School of Fort Worth will compete for a $500 scholarship. Don’t miss out on the jalapeno eating contest and risky behavior taking place on Saturday and Sunday. Catch these daredevils spicing it up.
ZestFest takes place September 5th – 7th. Tickets are $10 at the door.
