Arts Alive: Yellow Daisy Festival, September 4 – 7, at Stone Mountain Park, Georgia
The fall season tends to bring out perhaps some of the best of the south’s arts festival. From September to honestly, the second week in December, there are all kinds of folk art festivals, crafts shows and more to keep you busy every weekend.
In fact, this weekend happens
to be the 40th Annual Yellow Daisy Festival held at Stone Mountain Park. If you love arts and crafts, but have never been to this particular festival, make plans to attend this year. You won’t be disappointed. Now, you might leave the event with less money in your wallet, but you’ll have a great time seeing all of the booths.
This four-day event features over
500 artists from around 38 states.
If I could give you a tip or two, go early enough so you can pace yourself, or make it weekend getaway. Either way can ensure that you see everything, and take it from me, there is a lot to see (and buy.)
In addition, there a children’s corner activities and live entertainment scheduled during the festival. And of course, no festival is the region is complete with food.
