Havana Hideout

I like to think I’m on top of the restaurants and hang outs in the area, so I was surprised to discover this new locale just recently called Havana Hideout. Escape to Lake Worth, Florida, just south of West Palm Beach and you will find a quaint neighborhood filled with cute shops, restaurants, the Lake Worth Playhouse, parks and beaches.  Situated right in the heart of downtown on Lake Avenue, Havana Hideout is tucked away.

Havana Hideout is not your typical restaurant, bar or hangout, it has a unique flair to it. They do serve fine wine and beers in a tropical garden. Along with that, they offer a sangria Happy Hour ($4 sangria Sunday-Thursday) and a selection of “street food” that is both fresh and flavorful. From fresh made Ceviche to Baja Fish Tacos and Empanadas, this location will soon become a new favorite. It wasn’t the food that took me by surprise, but it was the entertainment that I found enticing:

  • Monday night is movie night starting at 8pm
  • Tuesday from 8-11pm is open mic night. Enjoy $1 tacos, for drinking customers only.
  • Wednesday - wii games begin at 8pm. Test your skills at bowling, tennis, boxing and baseball.

So if you haven’t been there already, its a good break away from the typical bar scene and better yet, it’s a cheap night out.
