- ILoveInns.com came out with their list of romantic inns and two from the South made the cut. They were the Red Horse Inn in Landrum, S.C., and the Lake Point Inn in McHenry, Md.
- It’s okay to admit that you plan your vacation around your meals. Alabama Tourism is going to help you accomplish this when you visit the state. They have come out with a brochure featuring “100 Dishes to Eat in Alabama Before You Die.” There is also a website devoted to the state’s many culinary treasures.
- Key West, Fla., is celebrating Black History Month on February 15 and 16 on an oceanfront site believed to be the only African refugee cemetery in the United States. Presented by Key West’s Bahama Conch Community Land Trust, the celebration include educational, art and musical programs.
- Club Med Sandpiper, Fla., is offering a special package for residents in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina.
