Photo of the Day… JULES’ UNDERSEA LODGE

Jules Undersea LodgeOkay, I have stayed in hotels that offered amazing views, but this is something that I have never tried… and probably never will. I have this thing called claustrophobia and I don’t think that I would last long. But, it is still awfully cool and I’m sure that there are lot of you out there who would love to try this out. So, here goes.

This “lodge” is located 30 feet underwater in the Emerald Lagoon in Key Largo, Fla., and can be reached only by scuba divers. That means that you have to learn how to scuba dive. But lessons are offered so you can simply make that part of the holiday!! The hotel can accommodate two couples, each staying in a private bedroom. You will share a common room, a tiny kitchen and dining and entertainment areas, the latter fitted with a VCR/DVD, stereo sound system and marine radio. Famous guests have included Aerosmith’s Steve Tyler and former Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau. Source

The Lodge usually hosts two separate couples. Each couple has a private bedroom, and the rest of the facility is shared. Family groups of up to six people can book the Lodge, with the additional guests sleeping in the living room.

So, do both rooms have equally good views out the porthole, or does one overlook the scuba port park?
