Tour of Memphis, Tennessee

Instead of a weekly tour spread out over the week, I thought that I would give you a few things to do so that you could print it out just in case you wanted all the information in one place. So lets start with the Stax Museum of American Soul Music!

stax museumCelebrating great Memphis soul music made famous by Otis Redding, Booker T. & the MGs, Isaac Hayes, the Bar-Kays, Al Green, Aretha Franklin, Earth, Wind & Fire, and others. Soulsville U.S.A. – where it all happened in the 1960s and 1970s.
Admission: $10 adults, $9 ages 62+, military and students with ID, $7 ages 9-12. Under 8 free with adult admission; 10% AAA discount.
Hours of operation: Mar-Oct: Mon-Sat 9am-4pm, Sun 1pm-4pm
Nov-Feb: Mon-Sat 10am-4pm, Sun 1pm – 4pm.
Closed some holidays
Tour length: 1 1/2 hours

cranberry Second on the list is the Memphis Zoo. And you simply have to stop by and see Cranberry. She’s their beloved Polar Bear and you also won’t want to miss the Keeper’s Diary. You can go here to see what’s happening with all the animals.

elvis graveAnd you couldn’t visit Memphis without checking out Elvis’s grave. Have you ever seen anything so elaborate. I guess it’s fitting for a King lol…
