Well, I was going to tell you all about how Florida dried out my feet, but then I thought that maybe it would be a better post for Shopaholics Daily, so I posted it over there instead. If you want a little down time while vacationing, you might want to visit Vulcan Park. No, it doesn’t have anything to do with Star Trek, but the Roman god of fire. It has stood over the city since 1904. Be sure that you take the elevator to the observation deck that sits on a 124 foot pedestal so that you can take in the gorgeous view!

1. Apparently there is an old city once named Petersburg ,built in the 1790s, and it is presently buried below the lake at Bobby Brown State Park. So how do they really know that it is there?? Apparently you can see the foundations when the water levels are low! Source.

I don’t know about you, but a lot of amusement park rides… quite frankly, scare me. Granted, most of the time, the rides are well serviced and nothing goes wrong, but then you read about rides when things DO GO WRONG. All I can say is that I hope that this horrible accident will bring about the necessary changes. These things just shouldn’t happen!

Now here is a little gadget that the guys would like!! Okay, maybe I’m thinking about me too, but guys must get thirsty right?
And, I just might not complain so much on the way to Florida if I could have unlimited cold drinks all the way down. With all of those cold drinks, means multiple stops at the rest centers. Yes, I will use every trick in the book to get out of the car!!

Just got back  and I miss it already. We had to say good-bye to our pool and that was really hard. We took our last swim last night and I know that this is going to be really hard to believe but we all looked and the temperature of the water was 101 degrees. I knew that it was usually nice and warm at this time of year, but it was literally like stepping into the bath! The Imagineering Field Guide to Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World
Well, today is going to be short and sweet. As I type this, all I want to do is to crawl back into bed.

Another fun day in sunny Florida. But really, are there any other kind??
*Went for a nearly morning swim. Can’t believe just how warm the water can be!! You can simply walk right in. Must look at the temperature to see just how warm the water is!!
*People seem to be very health conscious down here in Port Charlotte. Every morning I see several people out jogging and in 85 degrees plus, that’s just too hot for me. I will do all of my exercising either walking around a mall or swimming.

Britt and I are relaxing today. G is off to Orlando on business and we are just going to hang around the pool and enjoy!
*But things perked up pretty quickly. The cutest little bunny hopped by and then a few minutes later, a bobcat sauntered along side the lanai. I knew that they were down here, but I hadn’t seen one until today! And in our own side yard!!

It was a good day
*Had breakfast by the pool. Everyone else still sound asleep. Birds chirping like crazy!
*Went swimming. At 7 a.m., the water was incredibly warm. Definitely not having to get used to the water!!
* Hit the mall and lucked out with everything on my list. I bought two new shades of blush by Physicians Formula, Smart Shade foundation by Almay. (Have been wanting to try this stuff for a while now. I will let you know if it works!) Picked up eye-makeup remover and spray on sunblock. Can believe how fast my makeup melts down here. …read more
