The Pirate House, Savannah, Georgia

“When we arrived in Savannah, we asked around for one of the best places in town to eat. We received several referrals to this place – The Pirate’s House. Not only did we hear that the food was incredible, but a few people said that it had a ghost story or two associated with the place.”

It even looks spooky in broad daylight! But the best was still to come. The waitress gave the diners permission to roam around the areas of the restaurant that had yet to open. And they managed to snap some very interesting photos.

I just adore Savannah! I have never eaten at the Pirate’s House, but will try it next trip. Have you been to the Chart House on the waterfront? Best seafood I’ve eaten….and that’s saying a lot!

I live here in Savannah Ga. and ya’ll are callin it the Pirate’s House. That’s wrong it’s The Pirate House and in them days the pirates had secret tunnels built in the pub that would let them sneak back to the Savannah river if cornered by soldiers or they could mash you on the head and take ya’ll as slaves to do what they wanted to with ya’ll. Thanks Ricky. I will definitely change the spelling. Sounds if Savannah is one city I want to explore a little bit more. :)

    Hello out there!
I understand there is a cookbook “compiled and tested by Sarah Gaede” in which “Herb Traub” writes an introduction to the recipes found inside. The title of this cookbook is “The Pirates’ House Cookbook” ISBN # 0-939-11461-5. Pretty sure you can go to the Pirates’ House & get one before changing this site unnecessarily.

I just went to their “official site” and it is the Pirates’ House on their site. So the name isn’t wrong. Now I don’t live in Savannah, but if their own site spells it the above way….
